Wayne Lester "Chirps" Grime, 84 of Archbold passed away peacefully Saturday morning, July 9, 2016, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born August 5, 1931 in Archbold, Ohio the son of Lester and Hulda (Miller) Grime.  He married Nancy J. Stites on August 26, 1950 who preceded him in death on January 3, 2014.

He was an active member of St. Peter Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.  Wayne enjoyed restoring old cars and antiques.  He enjoyed playing cards with anybody that stopped by and showing off his birdhouses.  Wayne had an innate musical talent.  He not only had a beautiful baritone voice but, could play just about any instrument with the piano, guitar, banjo, and harmonica being his passion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, 2 sons Randal D. and James Grime and infant granddaughter Ellen M. Schrickel.

He is survived by his children, Peggy (Tom) Hines, Bradley (Marsha) Grime, Chris (Nina) Grime, Brigitte (Mike) Schrickel, Abigail Harrow all of Archbold, Melinda (Chris) Emmons of Alvordton, 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 1 brother Kenneth (Martha) Grime and 1 sister Margaret Saul.

Services will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at 10:30 A.M. at St. Peter Catholic Church Archbold with Rev. Stephen Stanberry officiating.  He will be laid to rest in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery Archbold, Ohio.  Friends may call at the church from 1-8 PM on Tuesday, July 12th, with the Rosary starting at 8 PM.  The family suggests that memorials be given to St. Peter Catholic Church or CHP Hospice Center.
