Wauneta J. Meller, age 77 years, of Wauseon, passed away Thursday evening, April 20, 2017, at the University of Toledo Medical Center.  She was born February 25, 1940, at Wauseon, the daughter of Galen and Ada (Rupp) Grieser, and married Gene Meller on April 4, 1964.  A lifelong resident of the Wauseon area, she was a homemaker and worked alongside her husband on their family dairy farm for 53 years.  She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.  She was a member of the Pettisville Missionary Church.

She is survived by her husband, Gene; four sons, Gene (Donna) Meller Jr. of Wauseon, Kirk (Jody) Meller of Napoleon, Kevin Meller of Wauseon and Gale Meller (friend, Kristy Retcher) of Ridgeville Corners; five grandchildren, Rebekah Meller, Luke Meller, Hannah Meller, Nathan Meller and MaKayla Meller; two brothers, Richard (Conna) Grieser of Archbold, and J.R. (Mary) Grieser of Osseo, MI; three sisters, Geneva (Marvin) Good of Archbold, Linda (Don) Vasvery and Diane (Randy) Nafziger both of Wauseon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a grandson, Derek Meller.

Memorial services will be held on Monday at 11 AM at Pettisville Missionary Church with Pastors Kent Norr and Tim Steiner officiating.  Interment will precede at 10 AM in the Pettisville Cemetery.  Friends may call at Pettisville Missionary Church from 2-8 PM on Sunday.
