Tex E. Dunning, age 77 years, of Leipsic, passed away Thursday evening December 22, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born at Adrian, Michigan, the son of Gilbert and Alta (Miller) Dunning.   He served in the United States Army. On May 10, 2022 he married Dennis Ritter and he survives.  He retired from Whirlpool Corporation in Findlay. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his husband, Dennis Ritter; son Shawn Dunning of Bryan; a grandson, Gunner Dunning; step-daughter, Tracy Lute; step-grandsons, Torein Lute and Timmy Keetin; step-niece, Kayleen McCoy; siblings, Ramona Pike of Fort Mohave, AZ, Patricia (Thom) Diehl of Edon, James Dunning of Archbold, Cathy (Bob) Fowler of Edon, Ted Dunning of Cottonwood, AZ, Judy Dunning of Angola, IN and Teena Dunning of Montpelier.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Michael Dunning, Rita Kurvial, Junior Dunning and Joe Dunning.

Friends may call at Short Funeral Home in Archbold on Thursday December 29, from 1-5 PM with a meal to follow in the Ruihley Park Pavillion in Archbold.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be given to American Cancer Society.
