Shelley D. Hausch, age 66 years, of West Unity, went home to be with Jesus early Tuesday morning, March 21, 2017, at Fairlawn Haven Care Center in Archbold.  She was born August 12, 1950, at Wauseon, the daughter of Vincent and Donna (Kauffman) Cotter.  A 1968 graduate of Hilltop High School, 1972 graduate of Adrian College, and she received her Masters Degree from Defiance College.  She married Freddie Hausch on December 29, 1972. In April of 1978, she and her husband accepted Christ as their' Savior.  A resident of the West Unity area many years, she taught English at Four-County Joint Vocational School for 31 years.  She enjoyed gardening, reading, and bicycle riding.  She was a member of Solid Rock Community Church in West Unity, where she served on several church boards, and BPW.

She is survived by her husband, Freddie; two daughters, Loni (Charlie) Penner of Franklin, TN and Sarah (Alex) Bennett of Archbold; three grandchildren, Rachel, Garrett and Caleb Penner; five brothers, Neil (Shirley) Cotter of Bryan, Greg (Janice) Cotter of Brooklyn, MI, David (Sandy) Lockhart of Tampa, FL, Joel Lockhart of Angola, IN, and Kim (Sandy) Lockhart of Stow.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be held on Saturday at 11 AM at Solid Rock Community Church.  Interment will follow in the Floral Grove Cemetery, near West Unity with Pastor Nate Hamblin officiating.  Friends may call at Fairlawn Chapel from 3-7 PM on Friday.  The family suggests that memorials be given to Southern Care Hospice Services or American Alzheimer's Association.
