Ricky Lee Dennison, 55, of Defiance, passed away, Saturday night, July 16, 2016, at CHP Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice.  He was born January 3, 1961, in Paintsville, KY, the son of Justice and Helen (Mullins) Dennison.  He worked in the coal mines and was a machinist, and enjoyed fishing and cars.

He is survived by two daughters, Cheryl (Christopher) Harrow, and Brenda (Jason) Fisher; four grandchildren, Zachary Harrow, Bradley Harrow, Landon Dockery, and Leah Dennison all of Defiance; one brother, Billy (Shari) Mills; brother-in-law, Mark Johnson; nephews, Robert (Laura) Johnson, Jeremiah (Tasha) Johnson, and Randall Mills; nieces, Nichole and Melanie Mills all of Antwerp.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Justice Dennison and Helen Smith; step-father, Randall K. Mills; sister, Kathy (Dennison) Johnson; paternal grandparents, James and Maxie (Daniels) Dennison; maternal grandparents, Roma and Eliza (Music) Mullins; and step-father, Uhaven Smith.

A memorial service will be held on Friday at 7:30 PM at Short Funeral Home in Archbold with Rev. Isaac Shelton officiating.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-7:30 PM on Friday.
