Richard D. Riegsecker age 73 years of Ridgeville Corners, passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday evening October 13, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital, Maumee, OH. He was born October 20, 1941 near Fayette, Ohio. The son of Theophilus and Dorothy (Mack) Riegsecker. He married Loraine Fay Friesen on August 24, 1962. A 1959 graduate of Fayette High School he worked as a manufacturing engineer for several different companies, retiring in 2001 from American Metal Craft, Waterville, OH. He was a devoted husband and father, who loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was a member of West Clinton Mennonite Church, Pettisville, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 53 years; four children, a daughter Linda (Gamaliel) Gabino, Santiago, Dominican Republic; three sons, Shawn Riegsecker, Chicago, IL; Greg (Melissa) Riegsecker, Stow, OH; Justin (Krista) Riegsecker, Oak Park, IL and five grandchildren; Savannah, Rayne, Theophilus, Ian, and Irvin. Two sisters Sharon Hayward, Bryan, OH; Lynn Ely, Pioneer, OH; and one brother William "Bill" Riegsecker, West Unity, OH. Visitation will be held Friday October 16, 2015 from 3pm - 8pm at West Clinton Mennonite Church, CR C &18, Pettisville, OH. Burial will be at Floral Grove Cemetery, West Unity, OH on Saturday October 17, 2015 at 9:30am. A memorial service will follow at West Clinton Mennonite Church at 11am.
