Richard J. Myers, Archbold, died Monday, October 19, 2015. Richard was born June 14, 1931 in Henry County and was the son of Frank and Francis Myers who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Eileen Lashaway, and Janet Ziegler and a grandson, Damian Westhoven. He is survived by his wife, Lila Myers "Tootie"; three daughters, Debbra (Barry) Clark, Defiance, RoxAnne Barnes, Luling, LA, and Kim Miller, Napoleon; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; there brothers, Dallas (Mary, deceased), Jim (Arty), and Lyle (Nancy). He was a Marine veteran of the Korean War and received 2 purple hearts for his service. He was a member of Haven Heights Baptist Church in Wauseon. Services with entombment will be held on Saturday at 11 AM at the Chapel of Riverview Memory Gardens near Defiance with Pastor Lance Wyse officiating. Friends may call at Short Funeral Home in Archbold from 2 - 8 PM on Friday. Memorials may be given to Haven Heights Baptist Church, Wauseon.
