Nancy Joan Stites Grime, 81, of Archbold, passed away peacefully Friday morning, January 3, 2014 at Fairlawn Haven. She was born November 12, 1932 in Kunkle, Ohio, the daughter of Robert and Alice (Kuhn) Stites. She married Wayne L. Grime on August 26, 1950. She was an active member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Nancy found happiness in gardening, making quilts, baking apple dumplings and the Pittsburg Steelers. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by her family and husband of 63 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, five sisters and two sons, Randal D. Grime and James L. Grime, and granddaughter Ellen M. Schrickel. She is survived by husband Wayne; 6 children, Peggy (Tom) Hines of Archbold, Bradley (Marsha) Grime of Archbold, Melinda (Chris) Emmons of Alvordton, Christopher (Nina) Grime of Archbold, Brigitte (Mike) Schrickel of Archbold and Abby Grime of Archbold; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and five sisters. Services will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 11 AM at St Peter Catholic Church with Rev. Stephen Stanbery officiating. She will be laid to rest in St Peter Catholic Cemetery, Archbold, Ohio. Friends may call at the church from 2-8 PM on Sunday. The family suggests that memorials be given to Fairlawn Haven, Archbold, Ohio.
