Nancy M. Beck, age 68 years, of Fayette, passed away unexpectedly early Tuesday morning, July 29, 2014, at the Fulton County Health Center in Wauseon. She was born November 3, 1945, at Garden City, MI, the daughter of Russell and Carrie (Aldrich) Hochstadt, and married Terry L. Beck on October 23, 1965. A resident of the Hudson, MI/Fayette area 41 years, she worked in management at Piece Goods, JoAnn Fabrics, and the Goodwill Store. She also worked in family owned businesses - Beck's Cheese Haus and Hudson Computers. She enjoyed crocheting, puzzles, playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Betzer Community Church in Waldron, MI. She is survived by her husband, Terry; one son, Christian (Lacey) Beck of Fayette; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Robert (Susan) Hochstadt of Redford, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and a sister. Services will be held on Saturday at 1 PM at Short Funeral Home in Archbold with Pastor Kim Repp officiating. Private interment will be in the Lockport Cemetery. Friends may call in the funeral home from 4-8 PM on Friday.
