Marjorie I. Roth, age 97 years, of Archbold, passed away Monday morning, March 9, 2015, at Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home in Archbold, where she resided the past 5 years. She was born January 15, 1918, near Archbold, the daughter of Daniel and Anna (Kutzli) Short. She married Clarence Roth on June 1, 1939, and he preceded her in death on January 7, 2006. A resident of the Wauseon area many years, she moved to Archbold in 1996. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed gardening, quilting, and sewing. She was a charter member of Zion Mennonite Church. She is survived by two children, Joyce (Alva) Roth of Archbold, and Lonnie Roth of Lima; four granddaughters, Robin Suydam of Wauseon, Renee Marshall of Jonesville, MI, Rita Wyse and Ronda Vonier, both of Archbold; 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a great-granddaughter; three sisters, Ella Gisel, Florence Richer and Ilva Frey Sauder; and an infant brother, Walter. Services will be held on Monday at 3 PM at the Fairlawn Chapel with Mona Sauder officiating. Interment will follow in the Pettisville Cemetery. Friends may call at Fairlawn Chapel from 1:30-3 PM on Monday. The family suggests that memorials be given to Fairlawn Haven or Donor's Favorite Charity.
