Kenneth J. "Ken" Burkholder, age 51 years, of Wauseon passed away unexpectedly early Sunday morning, October 28, 2012, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo. He was born April 18, 1961, in Wauseon, the son of LaVern and Donnabelle (Riegsecker) Burkholder, and married Joan Frey on June 20, 1981. A 1979 graduate of Pettisville High School, he was a longtime employee at Sauder Woodworking, and previously worked at Con-Agra for 17 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, and mushroom hunting. He was a hard worker who always went out of his way to help others. He attended Oasis of Northwest Ohio. He is survived by his wife, Joan; one son, Levi (Chelsea) Burkholder of Williamsport, PA; a grandson, Noah Burkholder; his mother, Donnabelle Burkholder of Archbold; one brother, Ron (Nancy) Burkholder of Archbold; two sisters, Cathy (Don) Frey of Wauseon, and Dawn (Scott) Thomas of Goshen, IN. He was preceded in death by his father. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM at Central Mennonite Church with Pastors Jerry Grieser and Bill Holsopple officiating. Interment will precede at 10 AM in the Pettisville Cemetery. Friends may call at Central Mennonite Church from 2-8 PM on Tuesday. The family suggests that memorials be given to Noah's College Fund, Oasis of Northwest Ohio or the Donor's Favorite Charity.
