Kathryn Anna (Lederman) Kauffman peacefully passed to her eternal home, Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Fairlawn Haven in Archbold, OH.

Kathryn was born April 12, 1925 to Amos and Lillian (Liechty) Lederman of Ft. Wayne, IN., the oldest of three children.  Sister Loveda Liechty of Archbold survives and brother, L. Cornell Lederman, deceased.

At the Leo Mennonite Church, Leo, IN. on June 11, 1944, Kathryn married Herman E. Kauffman of Archbold and he survives. They were married for 72 years and were blessed with five children who survive; Janice Andrews of South Bend, IN., Phillip (Barbara Britsch) of Carrollton, GA., Jane (Ron) Yoder of Wolcottville, IN., Steven (Jennifer Lawrence) of Archbold, and Debra (Jack Young) Kauffman of Pettisville, OH.

Herman and Kathryn have been admired as Christian role models by their 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Kathryn was a dedicated farmer's wife helping Herman whenever possible.  Herm dedicated his days with Kathryn as she stayed years at Fairlawn Haven.  Both faithfully served the Lord and were lifetime members of Central Mennonite Church, Archbold, OH.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday at 3 PM at the Central Mennonite Church with Pastor David Elkins officiating.  Interment will precede at 2 PM in the Pettisville Cemetery.  Friends may call at Central Mennonite Church from 10AM-1PM on Thursday.  Short Funeral Home in Archbold has been entrusted with the arrangements.  The family suggests that memorials be given to Central Mennonite Church for landscaping or the Gideon's International.
