Janet E. Mignin, age 81 years, of Archbold, passed away Saturday evening, July 14, 2012, at Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home in Archbold. She was born October 5, 1930, at Middletown, OH, the daughter of Walter and Louella (Boxwell) Ebright and married Thomas Mignin on September 19, 1954. She graduated from Germantown High School in 1948 and then attended Ohio State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry. She worked at Battelle Memorial Institute in Columbus before returning to Archbold to raise her family. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Thomas; three children, Marjorie (Kevin) Kelley of New Albany, Mark (Linda) Mignin of Sylvania, and Matthew (Sharon) Mignin of Bellevue; seven grandchildren, Laura Kelley, Sarah Mignin, Joseph Kelley, Brian Mignin, Margaret Kelley, Mary Kate Kelley, and Elizabeth Mignin. She was preceded in death by her parents. Services will be held on Wednesday at 10 AM at Short Funeral Home in Archbold with Rev. David David officiating. Interment will follow in the Archbold Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 PM on Tuesday. The family suggests that memorials be given to Fairlawn Haven, Community Health Partners of Archbold, or American Diabetes Association.
