Isabelino "Sabino" Nez, age 89, of Defiance passed away Tuesday morning, April 7, 2015, in his home, surrounded by his family. He was born February 1, 1926 in Cidra, Puerto Rico, the son of Federico and Andrea (Sierra) Nez. He was united in marriage to Drusila Carrasquillo on December 31,1948. in 1953, he moved to Defiance, where he began his employment at GM Defiance. His family joined him shortly thereafter. He was a member of La Iglesia de Dios in Defiance. On resurrection day he will rise again, through the power of our "Great God and Saviour, Jesus Christ". He is survived by his wife of 67 years (Drusila) and six children Abigail (David) Conley, Ruben (Carla) Nez, Damaris Nez, Eli (Yolanda) Nez, Migdalia Morales Nez, Efrain (Debbie) Nez, 18 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. Services will be held on Satuday at 10am at Believers Church International 1600 Ayersville Rd in Defiance, Ohio with pastor Waldemar Cruz officiating. Entombment will follow at Riverview Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at Believers Church International 1600 Ayersville Rd in Defiance from 4-8PM on Friday, and from 9AM to 10AM before the service. The family suggests that memorials be given to La Iglesia De Dios, 135 Broadway Street, Defiance, Ohio.
