Gilbert Junior Dunning (also known as J.R.) , age 64 years, of Grover Hill, went to be with the Lord on June 26, 2013 at 8:31 a.m. He was born on May 10, 1949 to his father the late Gilbert Dunning and his mother Alta Dunning, who survives. He was one out of 15 siblings. On December 18, 1970 he married Denise Elaine Frank. They were married for over 42 years. He is survived by 4 children listed with spouses from oldest to youngest. Angie Forwerck and spouse Brett of Celina, Ohio, Chris Dunning and spouse Robin of Van Wert, Ohio, Jeremy Dunning and Lisa of Oakwood, Ohio and Jessica Osborn and spouse Bruce of Middle Point, Ohio. He was the proud Grandfather of 13 grand children. He was an excellent fisherman and enjoyed working in the yard, on cars and riding his motorcycle. He was employed as a welder at Remlinger for over 11 years and had previously worked at Sims Manufacturing as a welder for over 20 plus years. Calling hours are on Saturday, June 29, 2013 from 6-9 pm and Sunday from 10am-noon at Short Funeral Home in Archbold. A service will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2013 at 2 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Brian Bressler officiating. Interment will follow in the Archbold Cemetery.
