Gertrud J. Krueger, age 89 years, of Archbold, passed away peacefully in her sleep Sunday morning, March 25, 2018, in her apartment in the Fairlawn Complex.  She was born July 13, 1928, in Germany, one of nine girls, the daughter of Herman and Auguste (Baumgard) Bader.  She married Kurt Krueger on August 17, 1956, and he preceded her in death on May 22, 2006.  She came to the United States in 1957 and moved to Archbold.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, playing cards, playing games with grandchildren and spending time at Bird Lake.  She was a member of the Archbold Evangelical Church.

She is survived by two children, Gary (Sue) Krueger of Archbold, and Christa (Ken) McDonald of Bloomfield Hills, MI; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Krueger of Archbold; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Gerda Krueger of Stryker; and four sisters living in Germany.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Ralph in 2017; and four sisters from Germany.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday at 11 AM at Archbold Evangelical Church with Pastors Roger Andrews and Jesse Kahler officiating.  Interment will precede at 10 AM in the Pettisville Cemetery.  Friends may call at Fairlawn Chapel from 4-8 PM on Wednesday.
