George N. Sessen, age 74 years, of Archbold, passed away Thursday morning, June 30, 2016, in his home.  He was born May 28, 1942, at San Diego, CA, the son of George V. and Rachel (Nimmo) Sessen, and married Diane Wright on January 8, 1972.  He retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years as an engineer, and then was an engineer in the auto rubber industry for 20 years, before retiring in 2005.  He enjoyed bowling and reading and was a member of the Episcopal Church, VFW, and American Red Cross.

He is survived by his wife, Diane; six children, Shane Sessen of Lacy, WA, George K. (Rachelle) Sessen of Oak Forest, IL, Lynne (Kevin) Tucker of New Berg, OR, Michele Sessen of IL, George W. (Christine) Sessen of St. Louis, MO, and MaryAnn (Adam) Mead of Toledo; 18 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a  brother, Conrad Sessen of St. Louis, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be held on Thursday at 11 AM at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Toledo with Father Joe Keblesh officiating.  Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery.    The family suggests that memorials be given to the Alzheimer's Association.
