Frederick E. Wells, age 70 years, of Delta, passed away Wednesday morning, January 22, 2014, at Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home in Archbold. He was born April 10, 1943, near Delta, a son of Clifford and Alice (Whitten) Wells. A graduate of Fulton Centralized School, he was a lifelong resident of Fulton County and was employed by Fulton Township for many years until he was disabled. He served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed playing basketball, baseball and watching sports on TV, his main hobbies were large gardens and driving his car. He was a member of Ai Union Church. He is survived by one sister, Rose (James) Foster of Defiance; and two nephews. Services will be held on Wednesday at 2:30 PM at Fairlawn Chapel with Pastor George Shaver officiating. Interment will be in the Dutch Ridge Cemetery near Delta, at a later date. The family suggests that memorials be given to Ai Union Church.
