Eugenia Guerrero Uribes, age 92 years of Wauseon, passed away Thursday afternoon, March 8, 2018, at the Toledo Hospital.  She was born November 13, 1925, at New Brownsville, Texas, a daughter of Jesus and Clemencia Guerrero, and married Florencio Uribes and he preceded her in death.  A resident of the Wauseon area since 1948, she worked at the former Sheller Globe in Wauseon and later as a cook at the Barn Restaurant at Archbold.  She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.  Eugenia was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Archbold.

She is survived by three children, Florencio Uribes Jr. and Eloise (David) Huffman, both of Wauseon, and Thomas (Mary) Uribes of Hudson, FL; 4 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Terasa (John) Guzman of FL.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Services will be held on Monday at 10:30 AM at St. Peters Catholic Church with interment following in St. Peters Cemetery.  Friends may call at Short Funeral Home in Archbold from 2 – 7 PM on Sunday with the Rosary at 6:30 PM.
