In loving memory of Milton Eugene "Gene" Headings, the last of the family of 8 children of Martha Delela Kanagy and Milton M Headings of West Liberty, Ohio, siblings Harley, Dorothy Nell Overholt, Howard, Sanford, Joseph, Robert & Ionabell Boshart. He was born July 18, 1925 and returned to Heaven October 8, 2014 at the age of 89 years. On May 12, 1946, he married Martha Sue Steiner of North Lima, Ohio and they had been married 68 years. Together they had 3 children: Joyce Ann Smith (Jack) of Plattsburg, MO, John Paul (deceased at age 18) and Esther Nofziger (Paul) of Archbold, OH. They have 5 grandchildren: Greg (Stacy) Smith, Gina Smith, Brent Nofziger, Adam Nofziger and Doug (Michelle) Nofziger. They have 6 great-grandchildren: Katelyn, Mason & Gracie Smith and Preston, Colton & Braxton Nofziger. He retired after working in the insurance business for many years and went into the ministry. He was known for his quick wit and humor and will be missed by any who knew him. Visitation will be Saturday 2:00 - 6:00 at Fairlawn Chapel. Memorial service will be Sunday at 2:00 at Fairlawn Chapel. Burial will be Monday at 11:00 at Maple Grove Cemetery in Chesterville, Ohio. Memorials may be directed to Gideon International.
