Edwin L. "Edd" Merillat, age 67 years, of Fayette, passed away Wednesday evening, December 23, 2015, at the University of Toledo Medical Center. He was born October 26, 1948 at Wauseon, the son of Ray and Nellie (Stites) Merillat. He was a 1967 graduate of Archbold High School, and married Joyce Springstead on February 26, 1972. A lifelong resident of the Fayette area, he worked at the former Young Spring & Wire in Archbold for 39 years, and at Allied Molded Products in Bryan the past 10 years. He enjoyed his family and friends, and was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Archbold.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce; three children, Jim (Andrea) Merillat of Royse City, TX, Ben (Holly) Merillat of Fayette, and Tiffany (Shane) DeLong of Archbold; 5 grandchildren; his mother, Nellie Merillat of Archbold; one brother, Rick (Deb) Merillat of Stryker; three sisters, Mary (John) Colegrove of Fayette, Jane Merillat of Littleton, CO, and Helen Rashley of Fayette.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 AM at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Father Stephen Stanbery officiating. Interment will follow in the Smith Cemetery near Tedrow. Friends may call at St. Peter's Church from 2 – 8 PM on Monday with the Rosary at 7 PM.
