***Updated Arrangements***

Donn David Jones, 91, passed away on February 7, 2025, at Otterbein of Pemberville Long Term Care Facility in Ohio.

Born on June 3, 1933, Donn was a graduate of Fremont Ross High School in Fremont, OH. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1954 to 1957, including time as a prison guard in Kettering, ME. His career spanned several decades, beginning with office machinery repair at Snyder's (1957-1958) and Robert F. Wolfe Co. (1958-1973), followed by work as a block machine operator at Prairie Builder's (1973-1995). Even after retirement, he remained active, working at McDonald's from 1996 to 2002.

Donn was a man of many interests, enjoying fishing, hunting, woodworking, boating, photography, and aquarium keeping. He also had a talent for painting glass and was an accomplished roller skater in his youth, earning three dance roller-skating medals and meeting his future wife at the rink.

A devoted member of First Presbyterian Church, Donn served on the Christian Education Committee and held roles as an Elder, Deacon, and Usher. His dedication to service extended beyond the church; he was deeply involved with the Boy Scouts of America as a Troop 312 Scoutmaster and Committee Member. He received numerous honors for his contributions, including the Silver Beaver Award, Arrow of Light, and the District Award of Merit. Additionally, he served on the PTO board, volunteered at Share N Care, donated blood regularly, and supported the Fremont Band Boosters often requesting John Philip Sousa marches from the band director.

Donn is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce Jones of Fremont, OH; daughter Cindy Jones Zajac of Tampa, FL; son David Jones of Fremont, OH; and granddaughters Ashley Mitrick of Littleton, CO, and Allie Prybelski of Chicago, IL. He was predeceased by his parents Florence and Alva Jones; sister Valeria Patterson; and brothers Bob Bolton, Doug Bolton, Milton Bolton, and Ted Jones.
