Darlene L. Holsinger, age 84 years, of Archbold, passed away early Saturday morning, July 26, 2014, at the CHP Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice Center. She was born February 25, 1930 at Beaver Falls, PA, the daughter of Joseph and Josephine (Yoho) Stevens. She married Rev. Donald Holsinger on September 7, 1951, and he preceded her in death on July 15, 2006. A resident of the Archbold area many years, she was a homemaker. She had a card ministry and enjoyed reading and sewing. She was a member of Bryan Church of the Nazarene. She is survived by four children, Donald (Kathy) Holsinger of Archbold, Melvin (Tracy) Holsinger of Tucson, AZ, Robert (Debbie) Holsinger of Colorado Springs, CO, and Dr. Gaylene (Chris) Carpenter of High Point, NC; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; 2 brothers, and 2 sisters. Services will be held on Tuesday at 2:30 PM at Fairlawn Chapel with Pastors Roger Blough and Michael Dunson officiating. Interment will follow in the Archbold Cemetery. Friends may call at Fairlawn Chapel from 2-8 PM on Monday. The family suggests that memorials be given to Fairlawn Haven.
