Crystal A. Troyer, age 89 years, of Stryker, passed away early Saturday morning, February 17, 2018, at Fulton Manor in Wauseon.  She was born August 8, 1928, at Stryker the daughter of Ira and Alma (Aeschliman) Short.  A resident of the West Unity area for many years, she was a homemaker and worked at Hillside Nursing Home, rural Bryan for 24 years before retiring.  She sang in a quartet singing in area nursing homes, and delighted in being a care giver.  She enjoyed crocheting, and spending time with her family.  She was a missionary three times to the Philippines, and a very active member of Victory Barn Church.

She is survived by three children, Douglas (Becky) Troyer of Wauseon, Barbara Troyer and Charlene Gallippo, both of Jackson, MI; 10 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Clell Short and Leon Short.

Services will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM at Short Funeral Home in Archbold with Pastor Rosene Moseley officiating.  Interment will follow in the Lockport Cemetery.  Friends may call in the funeral home from 5-8 PM on Monday.  The family suggests that memorials be given to Fulton Manor.
