Constance C. Layne, 65, of Plain City passed away March 31, 2014 at Kobacker House. Connie was born in Minnesota to the late Everard and Myrtle Conrad. She was a lifetime Artist and had many of her works in national and international collections. Connie was a graduate of the University of Arizona, past president of Collage of Women Artists, and was active in Central Ohio Watercolor Society, Worthington Area Art League, and Dublin Art League. Connie is survived by her husband of 42 years, Charles Layne; Children, Conrad Layne and Rebecca (Royal) Short; Grandchildren, Riah and Rustin Short; Mother-in-law, Mabel Layne. Connie is preceded in death by her parents. Family will receive friends on Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 11:00 a.m to 12:00 P.M. at the COLUMBUS MUSEUM OF ART 480 E. Broad Street Columbus, Ohio 43215. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday at 12:00 P.M. at the COLUMBUS MUSEUM OF ART with Rev. Lynn Pease officiating.
