Connie S. Taquino, age 53 years, of Defiance, passed away suddenly Wednesday morning, November 27, 2013, at the Paulding County Hospital. She was born October 22, 1960, at Defiance, the daughter of Lowell and Bonnie (Helf) Shirk. A lifelong resident of Defiance, she provided child care the past 10 years. She loved her job and enjoyed playing games with the children. She is survived by two children, Kyle Shirk and Kalee Taquino both of Defiance; a granddaughter Paisley Shirk; 2 brothers; and 2 sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation.
