Claudine Elizabeth Arnold, 86 passed away on Sat. Aug. 18 at Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home in Archbold.  She was born Feb. 15, 1932 in Archbold, the daughter of Walter and Nora (Smith) Nofzinger.  She married George Rodney Arnold on March 14, 1953 and he proceeded her in death on May 24, 1987.

A lifelong resident of Archbold, she was a 1950 graduate of Archbold High School.  She worked at Jim and Dales IGA, the Sauder Village Gift Shop, and the Dough Box.

She was a member of St. Martins Lutheran Church in Archbold and the American Legion Auxiliary BLW Post 311.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She is survived by her three daughters, Jean (Mike) Lantis of Reynoldsburg, Jane (Jim) Stevens, and June (Scott) Schultz of Archbold; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  Also surviving is a brother, Wayne (Shan) Nofzinger of Stryker, and a sister, Mrytle (Hal) Henricks of Montpelier.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers, Clayton Nofzinger, Jesse Nofzinger, Melvin Nofzinger, and Willard Nofzinger:  three sisters, Arlene Fausey, Bernette Figy, and Melba Schnitkey.

Visitation will be Monday Aug. 20, from 1-3 PM at Fairlawn Haven Chapel with services at 3 PM with Pastor Paul Reichert officiating.  Burial will be in Archbold Cemetary.  The family requests memorials be given to St. Martins Lutheran Church, Archbold, Southern Care Hospice, or charity of your choice.
