Charles J. Riegsecker, age 77 years, of Archbold, passed away unexpectedly early Monday morning, September 23, 2013, after suffering an apparent heart attack in his home. He was born June 8, 1936, at Wauseon the son of Leander and Mabel (Grieser) Riegsecker, and married Alice Neuenschwander on November 11, 1961. A lifelong resident of the Archbold area, he worked at Sauder Woodworking for more than 30 years, and since was a semi driver for S&W Mills in Archbold. He enjoyed day tripping and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of Archbold Evangelical Church. He is survived by his wife, Alice; two children, Wendy (John) Beldon of Archbold and Randy (Teresa) Riegsecker of Cincinnati; four grandchildren, Cody, Caitlyn, and Carter Beldon and Leighanna Riegsecker; one brother, Merle (Sherry) Riegsecker of Ridgeville Corners; and one sister, Roseanna Rodriguez of Archbold. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services will be held on Thursday at 11 AM at the Archbold Evangelical Church with Pastor Jesse Kahler officiating. Interment will precede in the Pettisville Cemetery. Friends may call at Short Funeral Home in Archbold from 3-7 PM on Wednesday. The family suggests that memorials be given to Archbold EMS or Archbold Evangelical Church.
