Carl Anthony Fry, age 83 years, of Archbold, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Friday morning April 28, 2017, at his farm.  Carl was born on June 13, 1933 to the late Gearhart Nicholas and Pauline (Steffes) Fry.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 31 years, Mildred Janet Fry, whom he married December 1, 1962.  Carl was a veteran of the United States Army.

Carl is survived by his children, Lynette (Tom) Roehrig of Stryker, Stephen (Charla) Fry of Archbold, and Diane (Mark) Bernicke of Avon, IN; grandchildren, Travis (Sierra) Roehrig, Lindsey and Alison Roehrig, McKenzi Moyer, Kalleigh and Nicholas Fry, Matt, Kate, Dan and Noah Bernicke; a great-granddaughter, Emersyn Moyer; and brothers, Roy (Peggy) Fry of Swanton, Virgil Fry of Bryan, and Alfred (Mary Ellen) Fry of Wapakoneta.

Carl was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Fry and a niece Pamela Fry.

Carl was a faithful member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Archbold and also attended St. John Lutheran often with his family.  Carl loved farming and was very proud of his family and loved spending time with all of them.  In his younger years, he drove bus for Edon schools, he was a dairy farmer for many years, eventually he focused on grain farming with his son which he did up until his last day.

Services for Carl A. Fry will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church in Archbold with Father Stanberry officiating.  Interment will follow in St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery in Stryker.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May, 2, 2017, from 2-8 p.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church with the recitation of the rosary at 8 p.m.  The family suggests that memorials be made to the Ridgeville Fire Department, St. Peter Catholic Church or the donor's choice.  Special thanks to the Ridgeville Fire Department.
