Allen J. Dominique, age 86 years, of Archbold, passed away Friday afternoon, November 6, 2015, at CHP Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice. He was born September 3, 1929, at Archbold, the son of Leander "French" and Florence (Flory) Dominique. He married Boneta "Bobby" Roth on September 6, 1948 and she preceded him in death on April 6, 2006. A lifelong resident of the Archbold area, he retired from LaChoy Food Products after many years work there, and was a volunteer fireman on the Archbold Fire Department many years. He enjoyed card games, fishing, but most of all spending time with his family. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Archbold, and a 4th Degree member of the Knights Of Columbus. He is survived by three sons, David (Sherin) Dominique of Bryan, Stephen (Barbara) Dominique of Archbold, and Frederick (Karen) Dominique of Stryker; 7 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jerry Dominique of Archbold. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a son Robin; a great-grandson, Avery Thorp; three brothers, Vearl Dominique, Elmer "Shorty" Dominique and Leroy "Bill" Dominique. Services will be held on Tuesday at 10 AM at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Father Stephen Stanbery and Deacon Thomas Dominique officiating. Interment will follow in St. Peter;s Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at Short Funeral Home in Archbold from 4 - 8 PM on Monday with the Rosary to be recited at 7 PM. The family suggests that memorials be given to CHP Hospice or Rupp Rehabilitation Center.
