Biography

Margaret L. Keim, age 89 years, of Archbold, passed away Saturday morning, May 5, 2012, in her home. She was born August 22, 1922, at Casstown, OH, the daughter of John and Ethel (Hildebran) Aughbaugh. She married Rev. Edward Keim on August 17, 1946, and he preceded her in death on January 23, 2009. A resident of the Archbold area since 1967, she was an Elementary School Teacher in the Archbold Area Schools and was involved in the local literacy program. She was an active member of the St. Martin’s Lutheran Church in Archbold.

She is survived by three children, Paul Keim of Plantsville, CT, Margaret “Peg” Leschinski of Archbold, and Joel Keim of West Unity; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, June Keim of Casstown, Ruth Moyer of Fort Wayne, IN, and Jean Wenrick of Piqua.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Olan and Donald Aughbaugh; and one sister, Lorene Penrod.

Services will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM at St. Martin’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Paul Reichert officiating. Interment will follow in the Archbold Cemetery. Friends may call at St. Martin’s from 2-8 PM on Tuesday. Short Funeral Home in Archbold has been entrusted with the arrangements. The family suggests that memorials be given for her Great-Grandchildren’s College Fund.
