Biography

Cletus L. “Bud” Grime, age 89 years, of Pioneer, passed away Thursday afternoon, July 29, 2010, at Community Hospitals and Wellness Center in Bryan. He was born November 17, 1920, near Archbold, the son of Laurel “Sonny” and Ilva (Weber) Grime. A resident of the Pioneer area since 1945, he farmed retiring in 1985. He was an Army Veteran of WWII.

He is survived by three sisters, Kathileen Baer of Archbold, Lorene Sword of Evansport, and Carole “Jeannie” (William) Smith of Edon; a sister-in-law, Shirley Grime of West Unity.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Harold “Jake” Grime; four sisters, Clarice “Tud” Shelley, Anna Miller, and infants, Ruth Grime and Sharon Grime.

Services will be held on Monday at 10 AM at Short Funeral in Archbold Home with Rev. Gary R. Ferguson officiating. Interment will follow in St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at Short Funeral Home from 4 – 8 PM on Sunday.
